all documentation that was there before is not accessible from the web.

Confirmed. For some reason I was using a GCC version to regenerate the docs that was incompatible with the (rather old) kernel on the host. It's now fixed. (I think it's a bad idea to update the online docs, as it should always provide the docs corresponding to the last release, not the snapshots. I'll make the appropriate changes...)
